MM Modi College organizes Public Speaking Competition for School Students
The Rotaract Club of Multani Mal Modi College and C3 Career consultants organized a Public speaking competition to equip them with opportunities in higher studies and to provide them a platform for sharpen their public communication skills.
The objective of this competition was to interact with school students and to aware them about different courses, skill trainings and programmes available at Modi college. Sh. Sourav Jain, MD, Vardhman Hospital and eminent social worker was the Chief Guest of the programme. He congratulated the college management, Principal and all staff members for organizing such a programme and give platforms to the students to show their skills. While motivating the students he said that to achieve success in life you must have the capacity to face the failures in life.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed all the students and their teachers and said that in the field of education a transformation is taking place and new opportunities and learning fields are emerging. He said that there is need for developing communication skills and multimedia skills for the next generation as digitalization and innovations are changing the face of educational world.
During the different sessions, in the public speaking competition the students elaborated their views and opinions on the topics of Dreams careers, My school life, My Mentor, Role of discipline in life, My favourite sports.
In this event Sh. Manik Raj Singla, Career Counselor and his team comprising Sh. Vishal Sharma, Sh. Vaneet Bansal, Sh. Amit Jindal and Sh. Shashi Kant Aggarwal motivated the students for hard work in life.
In this ‘Public speaking Competition’ In category of 12th class first position was bagged by Prabhleen Kaur, Rukshana and Harashdeep collectively.
In category of 10th class first position was bagged by Vidhita Ahuja, Japjyot Kaur and Aminoor kaur jointly.
In 9th class category the first prize was bagged by Priyanka Sharma, Vinamra kaur and Riya collectively.
In 8th class category the first prize was won by Abhiraj, Mansi and Tejvir Kaur jointly.
The Vice-principal Prof. Shailendra Sidhu, Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Registrar, Prof. Neena Sareen, Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma, Prof. Jasbir Kaur, Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Prof. Vinay Garg, Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, Dr. Varun Jain, Sh. ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਪੀਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਰੋਟਰੇਕਟ ਕਲੱਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੀ (ਥ੍ਰੀ) ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਕਨਸਲਟੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਮਿਊਨੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਕਿੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਾਸ਼ਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਪੀਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚ-ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਨਵੇਂ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਆਤਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੌਰਭ ਜੈਨ, ਐਮ.ਡੀ. ਵਰਧਮਾਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਘੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕਰਨਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੁਨਰ ਤਰਾਸ਼ਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਯੋਗ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਟੀਚਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਾਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਸਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤਾਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਲਈ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਧੀਆਂ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਲਟੀ-ਮੀਡੀਆ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੈਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨਪਸੰਦ ਕਿੱਤਾ’, ‘ਮੇਰੀ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ’, ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਕ’, ‘ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦਾ ਮਹੱਤਵ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਮੇਰੀ ਮਨਪਸੰਦ ਖੇਡ’ ਆਦਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਮਤ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨਿਕ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਟੀਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵਨੀਤ ਬਾਂਸਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀਕਾਂਤ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰੋਟਰੇਕਟ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ.ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਤੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਤੈਅ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਬਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ, ਰੁਕਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਦਸਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਤਾ ਆਹੂਜਾ, ਜਪੁਜੌਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਮੀਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।
ਨੌਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਵਿਮਾਰਾ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਰਿਆ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਭੀਰਾਜ, ਮਾਨਸੀ ਤੇ ਤੇਜਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ-ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ੈਲੈਦਰਾ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਨੀਨਾ ਸਰੀਨ, ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਸਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ.ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵਿਨੈ ਗਰਗ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਵਰੁਨ ਜੈਨ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵਿਨੋਦ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
